Overmire A186399
48 lb. neutered male, approx 3 years old
-He was eager on leash and wanted to run to get outside. He seems to be a potty holder and had to go!
-After he had that out of the way, he wanted to be near me for pets. He is on the calmer side and isn't super needy. He just enjoys being in your presence.
-He really perked up when he got a whiff of my snacks! Initially he wanted to help himself to my treat pouch but listens well. He knows how to "sit" and we are currently working on taking them easier. He's picking it up already! He can also catch them if your aim is good.
-Quick movements over his head make him uneasy so please be cognizant that he will need you to go slow with him
-He gives small kisses
-Not currently playing with toys
-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros
Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids
*Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt
*Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
*Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in.
*There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption.
*To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering.
**And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.**
*The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30
