*Woof* I'm in a foster home. Email rosemarimalu@yahoo.com to meet me!!
Hello, my name's Colby. I am also known as Colby, the goof, and Colby, the biggest love, and Colby, who makes everyone happy. Seriously, when I just know you are coming, I start a little dance and wiggle and then, when I see you, I add the biggest smile. My long legs make me look like a foal, so I guess I could be Colby, the colt? (I love to look at my reflection in the mirror at home and especially when I walk past businesses.)
I am early on in my doggie education, but so far I have learned that humans are friends and bring yummy treats and do fun things with me. I have also learned to sit! Just say the word! This sounds like a good learning path that I would like to continue on. Will you be my study buddy?
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
We are DC's only open-access shelter. We are always available to help any animal in the District of Columbia. We have cats, dogs, rabbits, and more available for adoption out of our two shelters and also run the Capital Area Spay and Neuter Center.
