This Horton doesn’t want to hear a who — he wants to hear you. He’s a very good dog with an adorable big spot over his eye that only adds to his charm. At 68 pounds, he’s a lovable, larger fellow, which just means there’s more of him to adore. Horton has been enjoying his walks and outings with us, and he loves staying close — he’s such a loyal, affectionate boy. At 7 years old, he’s well past the wild puppy stage, but he still has plenty of happy energy and that upbeat attitude everyone falls for.

A volunteer who spent time with Horton had this to share: "Hornton is one of the sweetest dogs you'll ever meet. He's gentle, a great walker, and has the best sit. This gentle boy is pretty much perfect!" And another volunteer took him on a field trip: "I had a wonderful field trip with Horton. He loves a walk in a park to sniff and check in with trees and poles. Horton listens well and enjoys cuddling together. After an afternoon walk, he snoozed on a bed that was a bit small for him, but all the same he made himself comfortable. Lastly, Horton is a great passenger in a car! He enjoyed the wind in his fur and looking out the car window."
