DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Luma!
We believe Luma may be a Lab/Weimaraner mix and, at 45 pounds, she is the perfect medium size for someone looking for a loving companion without being too big or too small. This sweet girl has a soulful, gentle nature, is easygoing, calm, and has no issues with other dogs, so she would be perfectly happy sharing her new home with a furry friend. Luma also rides well in the car, making her an great travel companion. But if Luma could choose her dream day, we're pretty sure it would involve a comfy couch, a loving person nearby, and some yummy treats.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
