DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Pup Newton! Newton and his buddy, Pup Fig, were found wandering as strays together and eventually ended up in a crowded Alabama shelter. When no one came to claim them, K-9 Lifesavers stepped up to give them both the second chance they deserve. Newton looks to be a true Heinz 57 mix — your guess is as good as ours (maybe Husky)! What we do know for sure is that he is a wonderful pup just waiting for his chance to find a family of his own. Newton is a playful, friendly guy with lots of love to give. At his young age, he is in his prime for training and socialization and ready to learn all about being a beloved family member. Newton is already neutered and ready to head home with his forever family. Apply today and change Newton's life forever!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.

Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
