This handsome hunk is searching for a forever home where he can finally have his very own family to love and adore. Scooter gets along great with other dogs, and he truly loves people. Scooter does seem to have a little separation anxiety when left alone, so he would do best with a family who can give him plenty of companionship and help him build confidence when they need to be apart. With patience, love, and reassurance, this sweet boy is sure to blossom.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
