Ahoy! My name is Captain Underbite.

Yes... I know.

The first thing everyone notices is my smile.

My little underbite has a way of making people stop, laugh, and say, "Oh my goodness, look at that face!"

I used to wonder if being different meant I wasn't perfect.

But now I think maybe my funny little smile is exactly what makes me... me.

I'm about 6 months old, weigh only 8 pounds, and I'm a fluffy little Jack Russell / Chihuahua mix with short, stubby legs, a curly tail, and enough personality to fill a whole house.

I'm already **neutered, up to date on my vaccines and microchipped**.

I will travel from North California to Ridgefield, WA by the middle of August to live with my foster family. I also can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.

I love being close to my people.

Whether we're going for a walk, playing in the yard, running errands, or simply relaxing on the couch, I just want to be wherever you are.

Sometimes I imagine what my forever family might be like.

Maybe they'll laugh every time they see my goofy grin.

Maybe they'll tell everyone, "That's our Captain Underbite!"

Maybe they'll look past my funny smile and see what really matters...

A little puppy with a huge heart.

A puppy who's ready to love with everything he has.

I'm still young, so I have lots to learn.

I'll need someone to teach me, guide me, and celebrate all my puppy milestones.

I promise I'll try my very best.

I'll probably make you laugh every single day.

I'll greet you like you've been gone for years, even if you only stepped outside for five minutes.

I'll remind you to enjoy the little things.

And I'll love you with a heart far bigger than my tiny 8-pound body.
