# Hi... my name is Charlie.

I'm a little **15-pound Chiweenie**, about **7 years old**, and I'm looking for one last forever family.

I'm already **neutered, up to date on my vaccines and microchipped**.

I live with foster family in Portland area and can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.

Here is my story:

I never imagined I'd be searching for another home.

When I was adopted, I truly believed I had found my happily ever after. My family believed it too.

But sometimes life doesn't go the way anyone hoped.

No one knew that I wasn't comfortable living with cats. My family has three indoor cats, and after giving it our best, we realized that sharing a home with them just isn't the right fit for me.

My family is heartbroken.

Not because they don't love me...

But because they do.

They've chosen to find me another loving home instead of taking me back to the shelter, because they believe I deserve better than that.

And I hope they're right.

We don't know much about my life before now.

What we do know is that I spent about **three years in California**, and then somehow my journey brought me to **Oregon**.

The rest of my story is a mystery.

Maybe that's okay.

Because I'm hoping the best part of my story hasn't happened yet.

I have a **Grade 3 out of 6 heart murmur**, so I take one small pill every day. It's part of my routine, and my medication will come with me.

I've also only got about **eight teeth left**, but I still enjoy my meals just fine and never miss a chance to give gentle little kisses.

The very best thing about me isn't my medical history.

It's my heart.

I love people.

Everyone I meet is a friend.

I get along wonderfully with other dogs and had an amazing time at the dog park, happily making new friends everywhere I went.

I'm affectionate, gentle, and happiest when I'm simply close to my people.

The only thing I need is a home **without cats**.

That's it.

Give me that, and I'll spend every day showing you just how much love can fit inside a 15-pound dog.

I don't need a perfect home.

I just need someone willing to give me one more chance.

Someone who believes that a sweet little dog with a few gray hairs, a funny smile, and a big heart still deserves a lifetime of love.
