Hi... my name is Parker.

I'm a long hair dachshund mix, only about 5 months old, and I weigh just 8 pounds bundle of joy.

People usually notice my beautiful red and black fluffy coat first. They smile, tell me how handsome I am, and scratch behind my ears.

I love that.

But what I hope they'll notice most...

...is my heart.

I'm already **neutered, up to date on my vaccines, microchipped, crate trained, and litter box trained**. My foster family says I'm a smart little guy who's ready for my forever home.

I traveled from northern California to Portland, OR to live with my foster family. I also can travel to Vancouver, BC if there is a potential family for me.

Here is my story:
You see, I'm just a little puppy trying to figure out this big world.

Everything is still new to me.

The sound of leaves blowing across the yard.
The excitement of meeting another dog.
The feeling of grass under my tiny paws.
The comfort of falling asleep after a long day of playing.

Every day is another adventure.

I love everyone I meet.

People make my tail wag so hard my whole body wiggles.

Dogs are my favorite playmates, and I can't wait to make new friends wherever I go.

Life is exciting, and I greet every new experience with curiosity and joy.

Sometimes, though, after all the playing is over and the house becomes quiet, I wonder what it would feel like to have a family that belongs just to me.

A family that says,
"Good morning, Parker."

A family that can't wait to come home because they know I'll be waiting at the door.

A family that will laugh when I do silly puppy things, patiently teach me how to become the very best dog I can be, and remind me every single day that I'm safe and loved.

I'm still learning about the world.

I'll need someone to help me with my puppy manners, continue my training, and show me all the wonderful things life has to offer.

I promise I'll do my very best.

I'll probably make a few mistakes along the way.

I might chew something I'm not supposed to.

I might have an accident while I'm learning.

But I also promise to fill your home with laughter, happy little zoomies, warm puppy kisses, and more unconditional love than you can imagine.

I'm already neutered, fully vaccinated—including my rabies vaccine—and microchipped.

I'm healthy.

I'm ready.
