The Gentle Golden Boy Who Just Wants to Belong

I'm a 2.5-year-old Golden Retriever mix, and at about 60 pounds, I'm big enough to give you a proper hug—but I promise Im gentle about it.

Im friendly, affectionate, social, and well-mannered. I especially love children and people who are willing to give me a little time, a little kindness, and maybe a few good scratches behind the ears.

I was rescued from the streets, and now I'm learning something wonderful: people can be safe. People can be kind. And sometimes, people can become family.

I'm fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and my 4DX tests were negative. I'm currently looking for my forever home and dreaming about the day I finally get to belong to someone.

My adoption fee is $750 USD.

Here Is My Story
I don't know exactly what my life looked like before rescue, but I know what it feels like to be on your own.

The streets can be a lonely place when you're a dog who just wants someone to love.

Then someone rescued me.

At first, I had to learn that a kind hand really was a kind hand. That a gentle voice wasn't something to fear. That when someone offered affection, they werent going to disappear.

And little by little, I learned to trust.

Now? I absolutely love people.

Give me a friendly pat and I'll happily stay beside you. Give me attention and Ill bond with you quickly. Invite me into your life, and I'll be very happy to be there.
I think I've always had a lot of love to give. I was just waiting for someone to give me a safe place to put it.

What I'm Like

I'm a gentle, social boy with a moderate energy level.

I enjoy being around people and would love a family who wants to include me in their everyday life. I don't need to be the center of attention every second—I just want to know that Im part of the family.

I especially enjoy children, and I'm happiest when Im surrounded by people who treat me kindly.

I also do well with other dogs, which is wonderful because I really enjoy canine company.

I've seen cats nearby without reacting to them. My rescuers believe I may be okay with cats, although there isn't enough information to guarantee that yet. As with any new relationship, slow introductions and supervision will help everyone feel comfortable.

Things I'm Still Learning
There are a few things I haven't mastered yet...

Walking nicely on a leash? I am trying very hard everyday, let's learn together.

Being completely house-trained? Im learning that one too, please show me where to go in my new space.

You see, nobody ever taught me all the things a family dog needs to know. So I'm going to need someone patient who will show me.

I'm not being naughty—I'm just starting a new chapter.

With consistency, encouragement, and lots of praise, I'm ready to learn.

And because I've already learned that people can be trusted, I think I'm going to make my family very proud.


What I Want Now

I don't need a perfect life.

I just want a real one.

A home where someone says, Come on, Luki, and I know I'm going with them.

A family who takes me for walks while teaching me how to be the best leash-walking boy.

Someone who doesn't mind helping me learn where I'm supposed to go potty.

People who understand that rescue dogs sometimes need patience while they figure out their new world.

And most of all, I want to be included.

I want to lie at your feet while you work. I want to follow you around the house. I want to go for walks, meet new people, spend time with my family, and eventually curl up somewhere comfortable knowing that I'm finally home.
