Kate - Husky Dog for Adoption in New York, New York

Kate comes all the way from Azerbaijan, former Soviet Union, where huskies are often chained outdoors in extreme temperatures, neglected, or abandoned to survive on the streets.

Despite whatever she may have experienced before rescue, Kate is an incredibly sweet and beautiful girl with a wonderful temperament. She is 3 years old, about 50 pounds, and has that classic husky beauty paired with a fun, affectionate personality.

Kate is great with people, cats, dogs and would be very happy either as a solo dog or with a canine companion.

She is playful, intelligent, affectionate and loves being part of the action. Kate would make a wonderful companion for walks, outings, adventures, and all the fun that comes with having a husky by your side. Once the day winds down, she is just as happy being close to her people and soaking up attention.

Kate has a lovely balance of independence and affection. She is not overly demanding, but she absolutely enjoys companionship and being included in family life. We are looking for a home where someone is around for a good part of the day, especially if she will be the only dog.

She is smart, curious, playful and ready to experience the life she always deserved.

Kate is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Adoption fee is $800 to help offset high international flight costs.
