Meet Sabrina
Little Miss Sibby is a 3-year-old cutie and comes all the way from Baku, Azerbaijan, a former Soviet republic, where countless animals become victims to serious accidental injuries or human’s brutality, and are left to fend for themselves without protection or care. We rescue these deserving dogs, help them heal and recover, and fly them to Canada, so they can finally experience the safety, love and happy future they deserve.
We are sharing her story here with you not to make you sad, but to make you understand the long, painful and enduring journey she has been on from the streets of Baku to Canada. She was found lying in agony and howling in pain after someone deliberately had ran her over with a lawnmower while she was sleeping, brutally injuring her legs and leaving her to suffer for days. Sabrina is a survivor and during those days, before she was found, she never gave up on life. As a result of this horrific act her back leg needed to be amputated.
Today Sabrina is a real testament of resilience. Her physical wounds have healed and her spirit has slowly mended and she has learned to trust again after being given loving care and attention at our shelter. She might be missing a leg, but not an ounce of her courage or capacity to love as you could see in the video attached. She has the sweetest, most charming, full of curiosity and fun face. She looks like she would understand the words you say and wants to tell you things back.
Sabrina is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to have a new beginning. She is wonderful and calm with people and accustomed to cats. If needed we can offer kids' test video.
Sibby has travelled so far to find a foster or forever family, one that will offer her the patience, safety, and tenderness she has always deserved. She has fought so hard for a happy ending, for a place where she is cherished and not discarded.
We believe that kindness always beats cruelty at the end and that Sibby’s future can be as bright as her spirit is strong.
