Meet Monica, a sweet, spirited Schnauzer mix who has come all the way from Azerbaijan in search of the life she has always deserved.

Monica was found as a stray and spent a significant part of her life in a shelter, waiting while the world moved on around her. In Azerbaijan, countless homeless animals are left to survive without the safety, veterinary care, or protection we take for granted. Monica was one of the lucky ones. She was rescued, cared for, and given the chance to travel to Canada, where we hope the very best chapter of her life is about to begin.

And Monica is more than ready for it.

She is wonderfully goofy, playful, affectionate, and full of personality. She has the kind of joyful energy that makes people notice her. Monica loves to play, explore, chase toys, romp around outside, and generally participate in whatever fun might be happening nearby. She has a funny, expressive nature and an undeniable talent for turning ordinary moments into entertaining ones.

Despite everything she has been through, Monica has not lost her enthusiasm for life. She is curious, social, and eager to experience all the things a beloved family dog gets to enjoy: walks through the neighbourhood, toys scattered across the living room, adventures in the yard, lazy afternoons at home, and people who are genuinely happy to see her every single day.

Monica would thrive with a family who appreciates a dog with a little sparkle and personality. She is not looking for a life on the sidelines. She wants to be part of things, to play, to explore, to make you laugh, and then to wake up the next day ready to do it all over again.

She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to leave shelter life behind for good.

Monica has already travelled thousands of kilometres for the chance at something better. Now she just needs the person or family who will show her that the long journey was worth it.

Monica's adoption fee is $2,000 USD, which reflects the considerable cost involved in preparing and transporting a rescue dog from Azerbaijan to Canada.
