Pumpkin is a sweet and funny boy, and so, so cute! This little fella has the distinction of being his Foster Moms current favorite pup and she has close to 200 dogs.
Pumpkin and his sister Pickles were dumped on the driveway of Wags of Monroe County, a 501(c)(3) outside of Tupelo. It was their lucky day! They were taken in to the rescue, given their vaccinations and spayed and neutered.
Pumpkin appears to be some kind of German shorthaired pointer and/or chocolate lab mix. He is a beautiful, beautiful puppy!
Pumpkin and Pickles spend their days roping and playing with all the dogs and then curl up together and a puppy pile to nap. Pumpkin is just the sweetest, gentle and calm, he will make a wonderful family dog. Like any puppy, Pumpkin needs a family willing to give him the attention and training he needs to grow up to be the very good boy we know he can be.

A little about Wags and adoption fees: The woman who runs Wags takes care of almost 200 dogs completely on her own, she finds stray dogs constantly and find it impossible to turn them away.
Adoption fees are the only source of funding for Wags and help pay for the vaccines, microchip spay/neuter and the transport from Mississippi for the lucky dogs who get posted for adoption and fine loving homes. What little is left after those expenses helps pay for food and vet care for all the other dogs and of course, the multitude of other expenses that come from running a rescue.
Almost all of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. Sometimes were able to bring up dogs into a foster home in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
