Felipe is a gorgeous and adorable sweet boy who appears to be a Catahoula mix, he was found as a stray, wandering alone in the streets in rural Mississippi and taken in by Wags
Felipe is having a blast at the rescue, running and playing with all the other dogs and following his foster mom around the yard, tailwagging. He is a mellow boy, quite calm for a puppy. Felipe has been neutered and vaccinated and is a healthy boy. Felipe is ready to travel to the northeast on Saturday, July 31, we think he will make a wonderful family dog.
We think Felipe will be on the small side of a medium sized dog, maybe around 30 pounds fully grown.
Like any puppy, Felipe needs a family willing to give him the training and attention he needs to grow up to be the very good boy we know they can be.
A little about Wags and adoption fees: The woman who runs Wags takes care of almost 200 dogs completely on her own, she finds stray dogs constantly and find it impossible to turn them away.
Adoption fees are the only source of funding for Wags and help pay for the vaccines, microchip spay/neuter and the transport from Mississippi for the lucky dogs who get posted for adoption and fine loving homes. What little is left after those expenses helps pay for food and vet care for all the other dogs and of course, the multitude of other expenses that come from running a rescue.
Almost all of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. Sometimes were able to bring up dogs into a foster home in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
