Rain - Chiweenie Dog Available for Adoption in Okolona, Mississippi

Rain was part of a group of small dogs that were found running alone in a field, they were clearly dumped, sadly not uncommon in rural Mississippi. Fortunately, Wags of Monroe County stepped in to help, gathering up all the little ones and bringing them back to the rescue where they got the vet care, love and attention that they desperately needed and certainly deserved.
Now the gang is ready for loving homes of their own! Rain and his sister Rosalie appeared to be chiweenie mixes, they are both very small dogs, Rain about 10 lbs at 5 months and Rosalie is 7.
The puppies are sweet and funny and active, they love to romp and play and then curl up in a big puppy pile to power nap! They would love a home with someone who is around in that a lot so they always have a lap to snuggle on.
The puppies have been spayed and neutered and are fully vaccinated and ready for loving homes. Like any puppies they need training to grow up to be the very good boys and girls that we know they can be. We are hoping to bring them to the northeast next Saturday, June 13.

A little about Wags and adoption fees: The woman who runs Wags takes care of almost 200 dogs completely on her own, she finds stray dogs constantly and find it impossible to turn them away.
Adoption fees are the only source of funding for Wags and help pay for the vaccines, microchip spay/neuter and the transport from Mississippi for the lucky dogs who get posted for adoption and fine loving homes. What little is left after those expenses helps pay for food and vet care for all the other dogs and of course, the multitude of other expenses that come from running a rescue.
Almost all of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. Sometimes were able to bring up dogs into a foster home in the northeast, we always need foster homes!
