Cooper - German Shorthaired Pointer and Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler Dog for Adoption in Boulder, Colorado

COOPER

German Shorthaired Pointer, Australian Cattle Dog Blue Heeler
🇺🇸
Boulder, Colorado
October 12th
male, medium, young

DESCRIPTION

Cooper, at 8 months old and 35 lbs (anticipated full-grown of approximately 38lbs full grown) is the perfect medium size to go everywhere a sweet dog is welcome. He is believed to be a GSP / Cattle Dog mix. We don't perform DNA tests. All we know for certain is that this guy is irresistible.

Cooper loves all those who are kind to him. He'll happily engage in playing and once comfortable in his new home, will be entertaining in his silly antics, young energy and the huge love he wants to share with his favorite people.

Cooper's story is all too common. A guardian who can no longer care for a dog and hasn't made any arrangements for their care is often quick to turn to their local shelter for relinquishment. However, luck was with sweet Cooper. He was saved from the shelter due to his gorgeous looks (these photos don't do his adorable looks justice), engaging manner and very sweet and friendly personality.

From Cooper's foster:
"Cooper is a wonderful pup!!! I mean like he is a really, really, really good puppy. He is great in his crate, super friendly, loves other dogs, great with our kids (9 & 14), and FULLY POTTY TRAINED!! He is a smart, friendly boy who will make someone super happy!
I think he is the best dog in the whole world... don't tell my dogs I said so!"

Cooper will do well with a family who's invested in spending time with their pup. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure. It can be a long hike along the gorgeous trails of Colorado, a visit with friends, a car ride or just an afternoon spending time together flopped down on the couch - all would speak to Cooper's great temperament and love of his family. Farfel's isn't open to a home where everyone spends their days working full-time outside of the home. We'd like Cooper to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle.

Cooper is up to date on his vetting / vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to adopting out only healthy dogs. He has also been neutered to stay true to our work to control the growth of the canine population.

Cooper is available for adoption now! Applications are currently being accepted for this very loving, sweet and loyal best friend. An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting Cooper, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application found at the link above or at farfels.com. Adoption site applications such as Petfinder and Adoptapet don't provide enough information and therefore aren't useful. Our Farfel's application is the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving dog. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit our Farfel's Rescue adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.

FARFEL'S FARM & RESCUE: DOG SHELTER & RESCUE

Farfel’s Farm & Rescue was founded on the idea that each dog deserves a loving home and the chance for a happy life. We are so thrilled to be able to rescue these amazing dogs from urgent situations in Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Cancun, Mexico. Working with a dedicated team of volunteers, the dogs are pulled from high-kill shelters because they’ve been recognized for the gifts they will bring to a loving family. They are then transported by specially licensed vans to Colorado for a second chance at life. The dogs are evaluated and treated for any medical issues before being transitioned to their new family, where they can become accustomed to having a family’s love, a warm bed and plenty of healthy food!
