DESCRIPTION
Meet Itzly, a five-year-old Doberman mix.
She was owner surrendered simply because her previous family could not dedicate enough time to her, and she’s now hoping for a fresh start with someone who will truly appreciate her gentle, people-oriented nature.
Itzly is a petite girl for her breed mix, making her an especially charming and manageable companion. She already knows basic commands like "sit" and "paw," and she’s highly treat-motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. She walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for strolls, where she can take in the world at a relaxed, easygoing pace.
True to her affectionate personality, Itzly absolutely loves snuggles and being close to her people. She has lived in a home with both kids and cats and did well, showing a social and adaptable side when properly introduced and supervised. She enjoys companionship and will likely bond closely with her family.
As a Doberman mix, Itzly reflects many of the traits the breed is known for — loyalty, intelligence, and a strong attachment to their humans. Doberman Pinscher dogs are also typically energetic and people-focused, thriving when they are included in daily life and given both mental and physical engagement. While Dobermans are often alert and protective by nature, they are also deeply affectionate "velcro dogs" who want to be near their people as much as possible.
Itzly is playful, loving, and ready to become someone’s constant companion. She’ll do best in a home that can continue her basic training, keep her engaged, and most importantly, give her the time and affection she’s been missing.
This pet is available for adoption on 5.8.26 at the Yakima Humane Society adoption center. If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.

ABOUT: DOBERMAN PINSCHER DOG BREED
The Doberman Pinscher is a sleek, powerful breed known for its loyalty, intelligence, and protective nature. Developed in Germany in the late 19th century by Louis Dobermann, this breed was initially bred for guard duty but has since become a beloved companion and a skilled working dog in various fields. With a distinctive appearance, including a lean body, cropped ears, and a docked tail, the Doberman Pinscher is an energetic and trainable breed that excels in activities such as obedience, agility, and scent work. Its distinctive appearance, combined with its fearless yet affectionate temperament, makes the Doberman Pinscher a popular choice for experienced dog owners seeking a devoted and versatile companion.
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
