Velvet is a sweet little kitten who is still learning that the world is a safe place. She was owner surrendered due to having too many animals, and while the transition has made her a bit shy at first, her gentle, loving personality is starting to shine through.

Once Velvet feels comfortable, she truly blossoms into a total sweetheart who enjoys affection—especially belly rubs, which quickly become one of her favorite things. She just needs a little time and patience to warm up and show her affectionate side.

Because she can be timid at first, Velvet would likely do best starting out in a quiet, smaller space where she can slowly build confidence at her own pace.

With kindness and a calm home, Velvet is sure to grow into a deeply loving and devoted companion.
