DESCRIPTION

MEET PIXEL, OUR BEAUTIFUL DALMATIAN MIX

Yall, just look at this beautiful girl.

Pixel is a gorgeous Dalmatian mix with little brown spots scattered across her white coat, spotted ears, a pink and brown nose, and some of the prettiest amber eyes you will ever see. We named her Pixel because of all those little spots, and honestly, we couldnt have found a name that fit her any better.

Pixel came to us as a stray after a member of our community found her at Interstate and brought her to the shelter. We dont know where Pixel came from or how she ended up there. We dont know if she got lost, if somebody left her behind, or how long she had been out on her own. I dont want to make up some terrible story just to make people feel sorry for her because we truly do not know what happened.

The truth we do know is sad enough.

Pixel was found alone, brought to the shelter, and placed on her required five day stray hold. For those five days, we waited for somebody to recognize her. A dog this beautiful and noticeable had to belong to somebody, or at least that is what we kept telling ourselves.

We waited for someone to call about the white dog with the brown spots. We waited for someone to recognize those spotted ears, that unmistakable nose, and those big amber eyes. We waited for somebody to come through our doors and say they had been looking everywhere for her.

But nobody came.

Pixels five day stray hold has now ended, and she officially needs a home.

She is just as sweet as she is pretty. Pixel is excellent on a leash and walks beautifully beside you. She enjoys attention, loves being around people, and has a gentle way about her that makes it hard to understand how nobody has come looking for her.

Pixel would make the perfect house companion for someone looking for a sweet dog to share their everyday life with. She would also make a wonderful family companion for the right family willing to give her love, patience, and time to settle in. She could be the girl curled up beside you at home, waiting by the door for her daily walk, or riding along with the family as if she had always belonged there.

Other dogs do scare Pixel, but she has not been reactive toward them at all. She isnt trying to cause trouble. She is simply nervous and unsure about them. We dont know if she has ever lived with another dog, so any resident dog would need to come for a proper meet and greet. Introductions would also need to be taken slowly and carefully.

Pixel needs someone who will give her a little time to settle in and understand that she is safe. She may not know the rules of your house on the first day, and she may need time to learn that she is finally home, but she deserves somebody willing to give her that chance.

She has now been microchipped, and her adoption will include a voucher for a Fi Mini GPS tracker. After coming to us as an unknown stray, we want her to have every possible chance of making it back home if she ever becomes separated from her family again.

Pixel is simply too pretty, too sweet, and too good of a girl to spend her days sitting inside the shelter. She should be lying across somebodys couch, walking beside her person, and finally knowing exactly where she belongs.

We may never know the first part of Pixels story, but somebody out there can make sure the rest of it is filled with love. Please dont let her become another sweet dog who gets overlooked and slowly becomes used to shelter life.

Come meet Pixel and see this beautiful girl for yourself. If you cannot adopt her, please share this post. Somebody out there needs her, and they may simply not know she is here yet.
