🐾 Meet Raphael & Gabriel 🐾
These two stunning 1-year-old Great Pyrenees boys have completely stolen our hearts here at the shelter. 💙 Raphael is the bigger brother at around 90 pounds, while Gabriel weighs in at a fluffy 75 pounds of sweetness. These handsome boys were surrendered because they were not good with chickens — true to their Great Pyrenees instincts, they take their jobs very seriously, just not always in the way their humans hope. 😅🐓
When they first arrived, the shelter was a scary and overwhelming place for them. But with a little patience, kindness, and lots of gentle reassurance, these boys have started opening their hearts and showing us just how loving they truly are. Their absolute favorite thing? Getting brushed and pampered! Nothing melts these big gentle giants faster than a good brushing session and extra attention from volunteers. 🪮✨
Great Pyrenees are known for being loyal, intelligent, protective family dogs that were bred to guard livestock and watch over their people. They are independent thinkers with calm, gentle personalities and huge hearts. These boys would thrive with space to roam, people to love, and a family that understands the breed’s working-dog nature. They are happiest when they feel like they have a purpose — whether that’s guarding property, going on adventures, or simply supervising the household from the best shady spot in the yard. ☀️🐾
Raphael and Gabriel are wonderful together, but they do not have to be adopted as a pair. We know each of them would do just fine finding loving homes separately as well.
If you’ve ever wanted a majestic, loyal best friend with the soul of a protector and the heart of a teddy bear, these boys may be exactly who you’ve been looking for. ❤️
