Odette - Corgi Dog for Adoption in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania

Odette is a 10-week-old Corgi puppy with a heart every bit as big as her adorable giant ears. Surrendered from a Lancaster breeder, Odette is the unfortunate result of breeding focused on producing merle coloring rather than prioritizing health. She was born with two beautiful blue eyes that are non-visual and significant hearing impairment. While we suspect she may have a tiny amount of hearing and possibly perceive shadows, her future family should plan to train and care for her as though she is both deaf and blind.

Thankfully, Odette doesn't let her special needs stop her from being a happy, curious puppy. Like any good Corgi, she relies heavily on her nose and enthusiastically explores the world through scents and sniffing adventures. She loves investigating her surroundings, learning new things, and figuring out where all the interesting smells are hiding.

Most importantly, Odette is incredibly sweet. She seeks out her volunteers for affection, happily toddling over for pets, cuddles, and reassurance. Once she knows you're there, she's all about soaking up the love.

Odette is looking for a patient, dedicated home with experience caring for deaf and blind dogs, or a family willing to learn how to help her safely navigate the world. A confident, social resident dog is a must, as another pup can serve as her guide, teacher, and best friend while helping her build confidence.

This special little girl may experience life differently, but she is every bit as deserving of a wonderful future. With the right family by her side, Odette will continue to prove that love, trust, and determination are far more important than perfect eyesight or hearing. She's ready to find the people who will see just how extraordinary she truly is.
