Cumin Seasoning may be small, but she has enough personality packed into her 7-pound frame to keep life interesting! This 4-year-old Chihuahua came to us from ACCT Philly after being heartbreakingly abandoned in a crate on a sidewalk. Dirty, with overgrown nails and raw spots on her body, it was clear that life had not been kind to her.

Since arriving in rescue, Cumin has been learning that she is finally safe and cared for. Like many Chihuahuas, she is convinced she should be in charge of absolutely everything and takes her self-appointed role as queen very seriously. She adores her kennel and uses it as her safe place when she needs a break from the world.

Cumin is potty trained, with only one accident reported in foster care, and even then she thoughtfully chose a pee pad. She is especially fond of women and can be cautious around unfamiliar men, so she will need a patient adopter willing to let her build trust at her own pace. She can also be protective of her favorite people and prefers to keep her special humans all to herself. With time, consistency, and understanding, she continues to show that underneath her tough-girl attitude is a dog who simply wants to feel secure.
