A Little Girl With a Big Heart Who Just Needs Someone to Trust!

Sadie is a sweet little 1-1/2 year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just 12.6 pounds, and she’s ready to find a family she can finally call her own!

Sadie’s story began in a place no dog should have to call home. She was living inside the cab of a semi-truck with seven other dogs. We don’t know everything she’s been through, but we do know that this little girl deserves a life filled with love, comfort, and all the happiness a dog should know.

When Sadie first meets someone, she can be a little shy and skittish. Being picked up isn’t her favorite thing just yet, and she’ll need someone who understands that trust takes time. But once she starts feeling comfortable with you, you’ll be rewarded with a wagging tail and a sweet little companion who is happy to see you.

And once Sadie decides you’re her person? Get ready to have a little shadow! She loves following her people around and snuggling up on a lap for some cozy cuddle time. She also has a playful side and absolutely loves running around outside with her foster dog friends. Watching her enjoy those simple things is a wonderful reminder of how much joy a little love can bring.

Sadie gets along well with other dogs and would love a home with a friendly canine companion. A securely fenced yard is a must for this girl because she loves having room to run and play. She’s crate-trained, walks on a leash, and is doing well with potty training, with only occasional accidents.

We think Sadie would do especially well in a quieter home with older, respectful children or an older adult looking for a loving little companion. We don’t know how she would do with cats, so that would be something to consider.

Sadie doesn’t need a perfect home or someone who expects her to be brave from day one. She needs a patient person who will let her settle in at her own pace, celebrate her little victories, and show her that she’s safe and loved.

Imagine being the person she looks for when she wakes up in the morning, the lap she curls up on at the end of the day, and the one she greets with that happy little tail wag.

After the start she’s had, Sadie deserves to know what it feels like to belong to someone.
