Meet Greta
Greta is a sweet 9-year-old Pomeranian/Husky mix weighing around 18 pounds, and this little girl has been through more than she ever should have. Greta came to a veterinarian’s office to be euthanized simply because she was no longer wanted as a breeder. Thankfully, she was given a second chance and is now learning what it’s like to be loved and cared for.
Greta is a quiet, mellow girl who really enjoys just hanging out with her people. She’ll greet you when you come through the door and then go about her business, but you’ll usually find her nearby. Whether you’re cooking, taking a shower, or relaxing and watching TV, Greta will be right there keeping an eye on you. She’s like a little shadow.
Greta can be a little shy when meeting new people and needs some time to warm up. Once she feels comfortable with you, though, she loves cuddling up beside you on the couch. She’s happiest in a calm, quiet home where she can relax and enjoy her people.
Greta does well with both dogs and cats and would love a home with another furry friend. She would do best with children 12 and older. She does not require a fenced yard, but she must be kept securely on a tie-out or leash when outside, as she can be a bolter. She is not currently leash trained.
Greta is not yet potty trained or crate trained, so her new family will need to be patient and willing to continue working with her. She is afraid of the vacuum and will hide or stay out of the way when she’s scared.
Greta has come a long way since arriving in foster care. She initially barked when left alone, but as she has become more comfortable and settled into her foster home, that has stopped.
Greta is looking for someone who will give her the time, patience, and love she deserves. After everything she has been through, she deserves to spend her golden years knowing she is finally home.
Greta is spayed and ready to find her forever family!
She is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, micro chipped, and is unmanly flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
Her adoption fee is $150.
