Meet Emmy (her fosters call her Goji)! This cuddly, loving, squiggly 4-year-old, 15-pound girl is moderate energy and thoroughly people-oriented — she's a little hesitant and shy in new situations but warms up quickly once she feels safe. She's wonderfully attached and loving with her foster family, including their 9-year-old niece. She's okay with other dogs but would likely do best as an only dog, since she doesn’t love to share. She does walk perfectly in a pack though

Emmy is potty and crate trained, sleeping soundly through the night and using her crate as a happy decompression spot when needed. She's smart and eager to learn — she knows sit and down (occasionally mixing them up) and is working on stay. Her days follow a joyful rhythm of morning zoomies, belly rubs, walks (her absolute favorite activity), work-time snoozing, and endless couch snuggles. She's still building confidence around new people and some dogs, and responds beautifully to patience, encouragement, and treats.

Emmy would thrive as an only dog in a moderate, apartment-friendly household, ideally with someone who has flexibility to work from home and enjoys a mix of cozy indoor time and long walks through green spaces. Her foster describes her as the ultimate loyal cuddle buddy — the kind of dog who'll wedge herself into the crook of your knee the second you lie down on the couch, and whose sleepy snoring can ground you even during the scariest movie. Emmy is ready to give her whole heart to the right patient, loving family.
