Buddy *Arriving 11/6* D12934 - Poodle and Maltese Dog for Adoption

Buddy is ready for his next chapter, and all he needs is a family to call his own!
Buddy came into rescue when his elderly owner could no longer care for him and surrendered him along with his housemate. Now that he's been neutered, this sweet boy has blossomed into an absolute doll! He's affectionate, silly, and just wants to be loved.
Buddy is the kind of pup who will happily let you pick him up and shower him with affection. He loves being close to his people and soaking up all the attention he can get. He's on the lower-energy side and is generally a quiet little guy. He also does wonderfully with other dogs, loving everyone in his foster home and naturally following their lead.
Buddy has his favorite parts of the day, too! Breakfast is a big deal, and when his foster comes home from work, he's ready for some fun and playtime. He has the perfect mix of sweetness, silliness, and affection that makes you fall in love without even trying.
Buddy hasn't been around cats or children yet, so we don't know how he would do with them, but his lovely disposition gives us plenty of reasons to hope he'll continue to shine in the right environment.
This precious boy has so much love to give. He deserves a home where he can feel safe, be spoiled with affection, enjoy his little routines, and know he'll never have to wonder where he belongs again.

Buddy is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 11/6/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and 11:00. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Visit our Foster to Adopt Program page to learn more. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.

Originally bred as water retrievers, Poodles come in three size varieties Standard, Miniature, and Toy each with their unique characteristics but sharing the breed's alert and friendly nature. Renowned for their hypoallergenic qualities and keen sense of humor, Poodles excel in various dog sports and activities, making them versatile companions suitable for different lifestyles and living situations.
