Meet Smokey! This handsome little guy may have started out shy, but he has come a long way and now he's often one of the first kittens to come running over to say hello. He's curious, playful, and full of goofy kitten personality.
Smokey loves to play with his siblings but is perfectly happy entertaining himself, too. Wand toys and anything he can leap after are favorites, along with the three-way tunnel, motion toys, and batting a ball around. He also has his own special way of playing with his people-he'll climb all over you for a game of "get my finger while I get your foot!" He loves following his person around and keeping tabs on whatever they're doing.
When playtime is over, Smokey is an expert napper and can apparently fall asleep just about anywhere. The kitten tower and window seat are favorite spots for catching some shut-eye.
Smokey can still be a little shy when something is new, but once he feels comfortable, his curiosity takes over. He has only met other pets through a screen door so far, so introductions to new animals should be slow and thoughtful.
Smokey is fully litter box trained and would love a home where he can keep exploring, playing, and showing off his wonderfully goofy personality. He may be shy one minute and brave the next, but he's always ready for his next adventure!

Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
