Meet Peanut!

Estimated to be around 6–8 years old, Peanut is your classic Chihuahua gentleman: loyal to his people, opinionated in the most entertaining way, and fully convinced he deserves the softest blanket in the house. He’s the kind of dog who likes to supervise your daily activities from a cozy bed, politely request snacks, and follow his favorite human around like a tiny little shadow. Once you’re “his person”, you’re really his person.

Peanut enjoys the finer things in life — comfy naps, yummy treats, a calm environment, and quality cuddle time. He gets along well with other dogs and would do best in a relaxed, welcoming home where he can settle in and finally feel safe again. Peanut is a chunky 12.5 lbs and needs to shed a couple pounds to be the healthiest version of himself.

Sadly Peanut’s world was turned upside down when his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Through all the changes, he’s remained a sweet, loving little guy who just wants stability, kindness, and someone to love him forever. Any dog facing yet another transition will need time to adjust, and we're looking for an adopter who will be patient and gentle as he settles into a new home.

He may not take up much space in your home, but he will fill your heart to overflowing. After everything he’s been through, we’d love nothing more than to see him spend the second half of his life spoiled, adored, and sleeping peacefully beside someone who treasures him.

LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

This dog is currently in South Mississippi. Local and out-of-town adopters are welcome. For out of town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport to many states in the Northeast. (The $375 adoption fee includes transport to the city on this listing. Our transports run every 2-3 weeks to that location.) We cannot adopt to Rhode Island due to import restrictions.

VETTING:

All of our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive to their adopters spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
