Shmino - Chihuahua Dog for Adoption in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania

Shmino is a 6-year-old Chihuahua weighing just 8 pounds, but right now he's carrying a lot on those tiny shoulders. He and his friend Smiley were given to someone new, only to be brought to ACCT Philly less than 24 hours later when that person decided they could no longer care for them. We quickly transferred both dogs into our rescue, but unfortunately neither previous owners left any notes, so much of Shmino's story remains a mystery.

What we do know is that this little guy is feeling pretty unsure of the world right now. With so many changes happening in such a short time, it's no surprise that Shmino is taking things slowly. Everything feels a bit big and scary when you're only 8 pounds and suddenly surrounded by unfamiliar people, places, and routines.

Despite his uncertainty, Shmino has all the makings of a wonderful companion for someone willing to give him the time, patience, and understanding he deserves. He's looking for a calm, loving home where he can settle in at his own pace, learn that he's finally safe, and let his true personality shine through.

If you have a soft spot for the shy ones and understand that trust is earned, not rushed, Shmino may be the perfect tiny companion for you. Beneath that hesitant exterior is a little dog who just needs someone to believe in him and give him the chance to blossom.

He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He is also scheduled to get a dental evaluation and will receive the dental as the vet deems necessary.
