Chopin may be named after the legendary composer, but this handsome Bouvier's masterpiece is a little more understated - a quiet, soulful melody that grows more beautiful the longer you listen.
At 5 years old and 93 pounds, Chopin arrived at the rescue alongside two fellow Bouviers after their owner passed away. Like his musical namesake, he's thoughtful, sensitive, and a bit reserved when first meeting new people. While Strauss may be the grand fanfare, Chopin is more of a gentle nocturne - soft, sweet, and well worth the patience it takes to earn his trust.
Chopin can be a little shy at first, preferring to observe from a distance before deciding you're worthy of an encore. Fortunately, he has discovered that treats make an excellent icebreaker. A little patience, a few tasty bribes, and before long you'll find yourself winning over this gentle giant. Once he settles in, his affectionate side begins to shine, and it's incredibly rewarding to watch his confidence grow.
Like his housemates, Chopin is adjusting to a great deal of change, but he continues to make steady progress as he learns that the people around him are there to care for him. Beneath his reserved exterior is a sweet, loyal companion simply looking for a place where he can feel safe, loved, and understood.
Chopin is searching for a Bouvier-savvy home that will let him find his confidence at his own pace. He can be adopted on his own and take center stage, or he would be happy to continue the harmony with one or both of his longtime canine companions. Whether as a solo performance or part of a trio, Chopin is ready for his next movement.
If your favorite music isn't loud and flashy but instead the kind that slowly captures your heart, Chopin may be the perfect companion to compose the next chapter of your life with.
He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped.
