DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Jed – A great family dog and your Future Best Friend with the Sweetest Smile!
Jed is a happy, sweet natured, small to medium sized Beagle mix who hails from North Carolina, where he was discovered hanging out with his best buddy, Isaac. (Because every great adventure starts with a wingman!) Isaac has been adopted, but Jed is still waiting for his perfect home.. This sweet, handsome boy loves other dogs and people, although he is a bit shy of strangers at first. He is a bit timid and will need his new person/family to be a bit patient while he gets to know and trust them. Patience will be rewarded with the emergence of the certified snuggle buddy he was born to be. He is quiet and both house and crate trained (loves his crate/personal retreat). Because a lot of noise and bustle can cause him to retreat into his crate, a fairly quiet home without small children would be best for him.
Jed prefers other dogs who are laid back, like he is, and like to play but not too roughly. While he is a perfect gentleman in the house, he loves to be outdoors and so should really have a fenced yard to live his best life. One or two canine siblings would make it perfect.
Whether you're looking for a hiking buddy, a cuddle buddy, or just someone to brighten your day with floppy-eared charm, Jed's your guy. Adopt Jed today, and you'll never stop smiling either!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
