MEET FRANNY MAE — LONG, LOW & RIDICULOUSLY LOVEABLE
If short legs, a long body and a little bit of chunk are your weakness, you’re going to LOVE Franny Mae.
Franny is about 3 years old and 18 pounds of pure squatty perfection. Our best guess is some kind of Basset Hound/Chihuahua mix — emphasis on guess, because whatever created this adorable little body deserves an award.
Franny was found living underneath a shed in Pittsburg with her sister and a litter of brand-new puppies. Understandably, she arrived feeling like she had a very important job to do: protect those babies.
Now that chapter is behind her, and we’re getting to see the REAL Franny Mae.
And she is an absolute sweetheart.
She’s easygoing, go-with-the-flow and seems to genuinely like everyone. She can be a little reserved when she first meets you, but give her a minute to realize she’s safe and the affection starts pouring out. Every day she becomes a little more confident, a little more trusting and a little more herself.
She crates well, adjusts easily and doesn’t need to be the center of constant activity. What she really seems to want is her person — someone she can love, follow around and settle into life beside.
We don’t think Franny has experienced nearly enough love in her first few years. We’d really like the rest of her life to make up for it.
She has all the makings of an incredible companion dog: manageable size, sweet temperament, past the puppy stage and just happy to be included.
Now she needs the one thing we can’t give her in foster care:
A family that’s hers forever.
Please share Franny Mae and help our sweet little low-rider find her people.
Adoption fee is $400
