RED — A GENTLE, DEVOTED COMPANION READY TO LOVE AGAIN
Red is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how anyone could ever have let her go. Peaceful, affectionate, and deeply loyal, she has all the qualities of a wonderful family companion.
She is wonderful with people and other dogs, loves being petted, and happily runs to greet the people she trusts. She enjoys playing with balls, but she is not an overwhelmingly high-energy dog. Red would be an especially lovely match for an older couple or anyone looking for a calm, devoted companion to share walks, quiet time, and everyday life.
Red was also an exceptional mother to her three puppies—patient, attentive, and protective throughout their difficult beginning on the streets of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Even after everything she experienced, her gentle and loving nature remained intact.
It is clear that Red was someone’s pet before she was abandoned. She walks beautifully on a leash and took to it as though she had done it many times before. She uses artificial grass on the terrace and naturally relieves herself on the grass during walks, showing that she already understands the routines of living in a home.
Red can be cautious when she first meets someone, but she gains confidence quickly when treated with patience and kindness. Once she knows she is safe, she gives her trust fully and becomes an extraordinarily loving and loyal companion.
Estimated to be between five and eight years old, Red was found covered in motor oil in a residential community, trying to survive with her three puppies. A compassionate resident brought the family home, cleaned and cared for them, and arranged for veterinary care, vaccinations, and deworming.
That is where Red’s story began—but it is not what defines her. What defines her is her peaceful spirit, her tremendous capacity for love, and the beautiful companion she is ready to become for the person fortunate enough to bring her home.
