**Peach — She Had a Home Once. She’s Ready to Belong Again.**

Peach knows what it feels like to have a home.

And she knows what it feels like to lose one.

Peach and her two sisters were born on the streets of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. They were discovered during a TNR effort when they were just five or six months old, and rescuers decided these three little girls deserved more than a life on the streets.

Peach was one of the lucky ones.

She was adopted.

For a while, she had what every shelter dog waits for — a home, people of her own, and a life beyond the shelter.

Then her family circumstances changed. The couple who adopted her divorced, and Peach was returned.

She hadn't done anything wrong.

She was still the same happy, loving young dog who had left the shelter. She simply lost her home because the lives of the humans around her changed.

Now, at only one year old, Peach is waiting for someone to choose her again.

And what a wonderful little dog she is.

Peach is outgoing, fun, affectionate and incredibly sweet. She loves people, is comfortable with strangers, is great with children and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She happily accepts affection from just about anyone and already has some training from her time in a home.

Most importantly, Peach already knows how good life with a family can be.

She just doesn't understand why hers disappeared.

Dogs don't know about divorce. They don't understand changing circumstances or why one day the life they knew simply isn't theirs anymore. They only know who they love, where they feel safe, and whether someone comes back for them.

Peach is ready to love someone again.

This time, we're hoping the person who chooses her will be the person who stays.

She has already had one home that wasn't forever.
