Riggs is an 11-month-old Anatolian Shepherd who is currently a very large puppy and well on his way to becoming an enormous adult dog. If you are looking for something compact, this is not your guy.

Riggs is a shy dog. He is not interested in being the mayor, working the room or living in a house where everyone communicates by screaming from opposite ends of it. He would much prefer a quieter home with people who will give him a little time to figure things out. Once he is comfortable, though, Riggs is a happy, playful, affectionate and wonderfully goofy dog with the people he trusts. He is excellent with other dogs and good with cats, and another confident dog in the home would be just fine with him.

Riggs will probably never be the dog who charges up to strangers demanding attention, and that is okay. Anatolian Shepherds were not designed to be Labrador retrievers in extra-large packaging. He is thoughtful, reserved and very devoted to his people. Give him time to settle in and earn his trust, and you are going to get an absolutely amazing dog.

Riggs requires a securely fenced yard and a home prepared for a very large adult dog. Also, we are not going to pretend looks don't matter. This dog is supermodel gorgeous. Ridiculously so.
