Buddy (bonded with Oreo) - Domestic Short Hair Cat for Adoption in Vaughan, Ontario

Buddy and Oreo are a bonded pair of brothers looking for a home where they can stay together. These friendly, affectionate boys have grown up side by side and balance each other out perfectly. Oreo is the calmer, more easygoing brother, while Buddy is a little more energetic and can get overstimulated more quickly during play. Together, they make a wonderful mix of playful fun and loving companionship. In a new environment, Oreo will be the braver of the two, coming out first to explore, but Buddy will soon follow.

Both boys enjoy being around their people and are happiest when they can be part of the action. They love curling up in laps, happily accept pets, and tolerate being picked up. In fact, they'll often ride around on a shoulder once they're comfortable! They are social cats who don't hide when visitors come over. Instead, they'll investigate, give a few sniffs, and soon be looking for attention.

Like many young cats, Buddy and Oreo have plenty of energy. They enjoy chasing wand toys, springs, ping pong balls, and playing games around the house. They're especially fond of interactive play and have been known to play tag with their young human friend before settling into their lap for some affection. When playtime is over, you'll often find them lounging together in their cat tree, which they love to climb and use as their favourite sleeping spot.

These brothers have excellent household manners. They are fully litter trained and have never had accidents outside the box. They enjoy being brushed, with Oreo particularly loving grooming sessions. Nail trims aren't their favourite activity, but they tolerate them well once they settle down.

Buddy and Oreo eat a combination of dry and wet food, enjoy salmon-flavoured treats, and are good drinkers, especially from a water fountain.

They would do best with a family that appreciates affectionate, active cats and can provide plenty of playtime, climbing opportunities, and companionship. While they haven't been introduced to dogs or other cats, they have wonderful temperaments with people and have been great with children who respect their boundaries.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Standard adoption fees are $250 for each cat over 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
