Naomi is a beautiful one-year-old brown tiger cat who has already spent the beginning of her young life raising babies of her own.

As the mama to Noam and Roam, Naomi has done an incredible job caring for her kittens, but now that they are growing up, it is finally time for Naomi to have a chance at the kind of life she deserves too — one filled with safety, comfort, love, and plenty of time to simply be someone’s beloved cat.

Naomi can be a little shy when she first arrives in a new place. Sometimes she may choose a quiet hiding spot while she figures things out, and honestly, after raising kittens, we suspect part of her may simply be enjoying a well-earned mom break while everyone else entertains the babies.

But once Naomi settles in and realizes she is safe, her sweet personality starts to shine.

When she warms up, Naomi is affectionate, loving, and very ready for snuggles. She enjoys attention, pets, and quiet companionship with the people she trusts. She is the kind of cat who may take a moment to open up, but once she does, the bond feels incredibly rewarding.

Naomi would do best with adopters who understand that some cats simply need a little patience in the beginning. Give her a little time, a calm environment, and gentle reassurance, and you will gain a wonderful companion with a soft heart and so much love to give.

After spending so much of her young life focused on survival and motherhood, Naomi deserves a forever home where she can finally relax and simply be cared for.

If You’re Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know

I can be a little shy at first, so I may need a moment to settle in and decide everything is safe. Sometimes I like to sit back quietly and observe before jumping into things. But once I feel comfortable, I really do love attention, snuggles, and being close to my people. I’ve spent a lot of my young life raising kittens, and now I’m finally ready for a forever home where I can just relax, be loved, and enjoy being someone’s baby too.

Important Adoption Information and Next Steps:

All animals adopted through the Oswego County SPCA (OCAWL) are:

Spayed or neutered
Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations
Microchipped prior to adoption
Cats are FeLV/FIV tested, and dogs are heartworm tested (if age-appropriate).
Our animals are cared for in loving foster homes — they are not housed in a shelter environment.
We review all applications thoroughly to ensure the best match for both animal and adopter.
Our adoption fees help cover the cost of veterinary care, food, and rescue operations so we can continue saving animals throughout Oswego County.

To apply to adopt, please visit www.oswegocountyspca.org and complete our adoption application.

After Submitting Your Application:
Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed.

For Pets Already in the Home:
Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone — both new and existing family members — stays healthy and safe.

Keep in Mind:
We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us — but if you do not hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.

ABOUT: TIGER CAT BREED

Tigers are majestic wild cats known for their distinct orange fur with black stripes, powerful build, and stealthy hunting abilities. As the largest of all cat species, tigers are solitary animals that primarily inhabit forests and grasslands in Asia. They are apex predators, preying on a variety of animals with their sharp claws and teeth. Sadly, many tiger subspecies are endangered due to habitat loss and poaching, highlighting the importance of conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures.
