Tempo came to the Oswego County SPCA from life on the streets, and while he's still learning that the world is a safe place, his playful personality shines brighter every day.
When meeting new people, Tempo can be a little shy at first. He likes to take a moment to assess the situation and make sure everything is okay. But once he decides you're a friend, you'll quickly discover a sweet, affectionate kitten hiding behind that cautious first impression.
One thing Tempo never seems shy about is playtime.
This little guy absolutely loves to play. Whether he's chasing toys, wrestling with feline friends, climbing cat trees, or turning ordinary household objects into entertainment, Tempo approaches life with kitten-level enthusiasm. If there is fun to be had, he intends to be part of it.
He especially loves other cats and gains confidence from having feline companions around him. Watching Tempo interact with his cat friends is a joy because you can see how much comfort and happiness they bring him.
As he continues to settle into foster care, Tempo becomes more comfortable and confident every day. He's learning that people can be trusted, that affection is a good thing, and that the world isn't nearly as scary as he once thought.
Tempo is looking for a family that will give him a chance to warm up at his own pace and appreciate the special bond that comes from earning the trust of a gentle kitten.
If Youre Thinking About Adopting Me, I Think You Should Know
Sometimes I like a few minutes to figure out that everything is okay. Once I do, though, it's game on! I love to play, especially if another cat wants to join me. Toys are amazing, friends are amazing, and life gets more exciting every day. If you're patient with me while I get comfortable, I'll show you just how sweet and fun I can be.

After Submitting Your Application:
Please make sure you have notified your veterinarian that we will be calling and that it is okay to speak with us. If you do not currently have a vet, please determine which one you will be using and set up care in advance so we can confirm your new pet will receive medical attention when needed.
For Pets Already in the Home:
Because the number of homeless animals in our area is so large, we adopt only to homes where current pets are spayed or neutered, with documented medical exceptions. We also require that all resident pets be up to date on their vaccinations to help ensure that everyone both new and existing family members stays healthy and safe.
Keep in Mind:
We are 100 percent foster-based and 100 percent volunteer-operated, from the top down. Our team works hard to get animals into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Please be patient with us but if you do not hear back within a few days, feel free to message us on our Facebook page to confirm your application went through.
