DESCRIPTION

Meet Téo (Tay-oh) 🐾
AKA Tato, Tatertot, and Tay-Tay

Téo is a sensitive little sweet potato wrapped in a stunning tabby coat. He arrived as a tiny, serious-faced kitten who looked like he had a lot on his mind—and while he’s grown into a bold, handsome boy, he still carries that “mildly concerned but doing his best” energy… just in a slightly larger, fluffier package.

He runs on a reliable schedule—especially when it comes to meals. Expect daily, punctual announcements to make sure you don’t forget. Ever.

Téo is sweet, affectionate, and deeply motivated by connection—particularly with other cats. He loves having feline friends and will seek them out constantly for snuggles, companionship, and general togetherness. It’s adorable… and a little relentless. Because of this, he’d do best in a home with a confident, patient, and social cat who doesn’t mind a very devoted sidekick.

He’s not a lap cat, and being picked up is a firm no—he’s a “four paws on the floor” kind of guy, thank you very much. He prefers to show his affection by orbiting you instead, he does enjoy pets and will happily flop near you. He’s made great progress and will continue to blossom with a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust takes time (and treats—lots of treats).

Speaking of which: food is everything to Téo. Treats are his love language, his trust-building tool, and honestly, the key to his heart. Keep them coming.

Rescued as a tiny kitten with his mom and sisters, Téo has grown into a calm, curious, and lovable boy who just wants connection—on his terms. If you’ve got a friendly cat, a stash of treats, and a sense of humor, Téo might just be your perfect match.

Téo is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him, please send a message here, or email adopt@ahsem.org.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
