Meet Stevie & Nicks

Hi. Yes. It’s us. We’ve been patiently waiting for our forever home for over a year… and somehow, not a single application. Honestly? We’d like to speak to management about that.

If Fleetwood Mac were cats, it would be us. I’m Stevie (dramatic, mysterious, a little bit spicy), and this is my brother Nicks (brave, emotional, professional lovebug). Together, we’re a bonded sibling duo with a story, a soundtrack, and a whole lot of personality.

Nicks here—yes, that Nicks. I’m a proud Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) warrior. I beat the odds, and I did it with style. Good news: I don’t need any special care these days—I’m just your regular lovable guy—but I do thrive best in a calm, low-stress home where I can keep living my best life.

Through it all, Stevie was right by my side—comforting me, supporting me… and occasionally bopping me on the head. It’s her love language. Don’t question it.

I am the brains of this operation. New situations? I evaluate. New cats? I assess (sometimes with a stealth bop ’n hiss—keeps things interesting). I’m not a fan of being picked up or spa days (hard pass on manicures), but I’ve come a long way. These days, I rub on legs, ask for attention, and purr like I’ve finally decided humans are acceptable. With a little patience, I’ll be your loyal backstage bestie.

Back to me (the fan favorite).
I’m affectionate, sweet, and will absolutely follow you around like your emotional-support groupie. I’ve got a bit of a “resting grump face,” but don’t be fooled—I’m all head boops, gentle meows, and “please pet me again” energy. I get along with other animals, though sometimes I channel a little “respect my space” vibe when needed.

We’re both good with cats and dogs (with proper intros), deeply bonded, and experts at loving each other—even when we’re mildly annoying about it.

We are looking for a calm, patient, cat-savvy home that understands that trust takes time. Young kids aren’t really our vibe—we prefer a quieter household where we can settle in at our own pace and let our personalities shine.

Adoption fees are as follows: $175 for a single cat or kitten, $225 for a pair of cats or kittens. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
