***Oliver is a gentle and timid cat needing the reassurance of other social, confident cats to feel grounded. He must go home to a cat waiting to be his playmate and best friend.
Oliver came from a neighbourhood cat colony in Toronto. Long-haired cats don’t fare well outdoors so he had to undergo a spa day to get rid of his mats as well as neutering. His choppy hair cut is a testament of his past life, and a reminder that many like Oliver still endure the elements unless something is done to stop the cycle.
Oliver is by nature a gentle and sweet cat, and thankfully loves being brushed, which should be part of his daily routine. His beautifully soft coat is still growing in slowly, but no doubt when it is full, he will be a fluffy, handsome cat!
This pretty boy with a gorgeously photogenic face is only a year young, and gets along with other friendly, affable cats. Oliver love attention and is not shy to ask for it. Whenever there's a gentle touch around his neck and ears, he happily flops down into optimal pose to encourage thorough and continuous pets. His past food insecurity means he will never say no to food, and would finish off his roommate’s food if allowed. Hopefully he will become less voracious when he finally accepts that food will always be available.
Oliver tolerates being picked up for only brief seconds, enjoying a light peck on the forehead before wanting to get down. He is much more comfortable with his feet firmly on the ground, where he can bat around his favourite spring toys and jump for the flying wand.
Oliver was rescued because his sweet and timid nature made living in a colony a dangerous prospect. He deserves a family who will cherish him, and provide the security he needs to grow fully into his affectionate and loving self.
