Meet Star, a nine year old Domestic Longhair cat.

Star’s story is a heartbreaking one—she was found left behind in an apartment while it was being cleaned out. Although she is microchipped, we’ve been unable to locate her previous family and believe she may have been intentionally left. Despite that, Star is still holding onto hope for a better future.

She’s a gentle, slightly shy girl who enjoys cheek rubs and quiet companionship. Star prefers affection on her own terms and isn’t a fan of being picked up unless she’s feeling comfortable, but she will happily lean in for pets when she’s ready.

Star would do best in a quieter, low-traffic home where she can feel safe and take her time settling in. As an older cat, she’s past the kitten chaos and is looking for a calm, understanding home that will let her be herself.

If you have a soft spot for senior cats and want to give one a second chance, Star is ready to shine in a home of her own.
