Tipsy - Yorkshire Terrier Dog for Adoption in Pelham, New Hampshire

Meet Tipsy!

Tipsy is an absolutely precious 3 year old Yorkie mix weighing just 10 pounds, and his story is one that will truly tug at your heartstrings. This sweet little boy has endured more hardship in his short life than any dog should ever have to experience. Tipsy was tragically found abandoned on the side of the road with a severe head injury. After being rushed for emergency veterinary care, it was discovered that he had a significant fracture in his skull, likely caused by some sort of traumatic event. We may never know exactly what happened to this innocent little boy, but what we do know is that someone left him behind when he needed help the most. Thankfully, Tipsy made it into rescue, where he has spent a considerable amount of time in foster care receiving the medical attention, patience, and love he so desperately needed. And against the odds, this incredible little guy has come out on top!

Today, Tipsy is a happy, affectionate, playful little boy who absolutely loves life! Despite everything he’s been through, he has the sweetest personality and so much love to give. He adores his people and wants nothing more than to spend as much time with them as possible. He’s incredibly affectionate, loves going for car rides, and enjoys playing and spending time with his furry friends. Tipsy has been wonderful with other dogs, cats, and people, and he truly is such a good-natured little guy. He’s also crate trained and house trained, making him a wonderful little companion to have around the house.

Tipsy is considered a special needs dog due to the lasting effects of his previous head injury. He has a permanent head tilt that gives him a slightly quirky appearance, but don’t let that fool you! This little guy gets around wonderfully. He walks, runs, plays, eats, and goes to the bathroom just like any other dog. His head tilt is simply part of what makes Tipsy, Tipsy! After everything he’s overcome, it’s truly remarkable to see how happy, loving, and full of life he is today. While his future family should be understanding of his medical history and any care he may need down the road, Tipsy has shown us that being a little different doesn’t mean he has any less love to give.

Tipsy is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will have his health certificate prior to adoption. More than anything, this precious boy deserves a forever family who will see him for the incredible little dog he is, not just the trauma he’s survived. He has already experienced the worst of what life can offer, and now it’s time for him to experience the very best. A safe home, a loving family, and people who will cherish him unconditionally for the rest of his days. If you’re looking for a truly special little companion with an extraordinary story and a heart full of love, Tipsy might just be the boy you’ve been waiting for!
