Meet Patches!

Patches is an absolutely adorable 8 year old Shih Tzu/Maltese mix weighing just 7 pounds, and she is truly one of the sweetest little ladies you’ll ever meet! This precious girl has such a happy go lucky personality and is looking for a forever family who will love and cherish her through her golden years. Sadly, Patches was surrendered when her previous family was no longer able to provide the care she needed. Now she’s getting a fresh start, and we are determined to find her a wonderful home where she will never have to worry about being given up on again.

Patches is an incredibly sweet, social, and easygoing little girl who seems to get along with just about everyone! She absolutely loves other dogs, does wonderfully with cats, and has a very relaxed, go-with-the-flow personality. She’s the type of dog who is simply happy to be included in whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s relaxing at home, spending time with her furry friends, or hopping in the car for a ride, Patches is just happy to be along for the journey! She is also crate trained and does a fantastic job going to the bathroom outside. Overall, she’s a very well-mannered, easygoing little companion with so much love to give.

One important thing to know about Patches is that she has been diagnosed with early stage heart failure. She is currently taking two relatively inexpensive medications to help manage her condition, and her future family will need to continue these medications and provide appropriate veterinary monitoring. While she does have a medical condition that requires ongoing care, Patches continues to be a happy, sweet, and easygoing girl who enjoys her everyday life. We know there is a special family out there who will see beyond her diagnosis and recognize just how much love this little girl has to offer.

Patches is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and will have her health certificate prior to adoption. This sweet girl deserves a forever home where she will be loved unconditionally and given the care and commitment she deserves. She has already experienced the heartbreak of losing one home, and our greatest wish is to make sure her next home is truly forever.
