Hi, I’m Topaz — a 6-year-old Yorkie/Cairn Terrier mix, and I was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Texas. If you're looking for a little shadow who thinks every person he meets is his new best friend, then I might be your guy. The moment someone walks into my room, I’m right there at the gate, standing up and asking to be picked up. I absolutely love cuddles, scratches, and being close to my people, and I’m always happy to soak up as much affection as you'll give me.

I have a wonderfully friendly personality and haven't met a stranger yet. I get along great with other dogs, love the kennel staff, and have done fantastic with kids. I'm such an easygoing fellow that I even share my food bowl with one of my dog friends. While I enjoy spending time outside, I'm definitely more of a relaxed gentleman than an athlete. I'd much rather snuggle in your lap or hang out nearby than spend my day running laps around the yard.

I'm fully vetted, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all my vaccines and preventatives. Now I'm ready to find a forever family to spoil me with love and attention.
