Some stories are harder to write than others, and Gigi's is one of them.

Ten years ago, Gigi was adopted from our rescue and went on to spend a decade with the family she thought would be hers forever. Sadly, at 11 1/2 years old, Gigi recently found herself back in our care after she was no longer wanted.

Despite all the changes and confusion, Gigi remains the same sweet, loving girl she's always been. She's gentle, walks beautifully on a leash, and has previously lived successfully with children, dogs, and even cats. She truly is an easygoing companion who simply enjoys being near her people.

What breaks our hearts most is watching Gigi wait. She looks for the family she believes is coming back for her, not understanding why she's suddenly in a kennel after spending so many years in a home. Through it all, she continues to be kind, affectionate, and trusting.

Gigi deserves so much more than a kennel in her senior years. She deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and the comfort of knowing she will never be left behind again.

We know senior dogs are often overlooked, but Gigi has so much love left to give. We hope someone will open their heart to this wonderful girl and help make her golden years the very best yet.
