Meet Sheilah, a gentle and sweet Bichon, 612 years old and 13 lbs. She is ready to leave her past behind and find the loving home she deserves. Sheilah came to us from an Amish breeding farm along with several other small dogs. While she is understandably shy and timid, beneath her cautious exterior is a sensitive soul who wants nothing more than to feel safe and loved.

Sheilah allows all handling and has been nothing but sweet with everyone she meets, though new experiences are still be scary for her. At a busy adoption event, she showed just how affectionate she can be, spending her time cuddled up on volunteers' laps and soaking up the comfort of gentle snuggles.

Sheilah is looking for a patient, understanding family willing to help her continue building confidence at her own pace. A friendly, social, and outgoing dog in the home would be a wonderful role model and help show her that the world isn't such a scary place.

She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She also had a dental and is currently mostly toothless, though it does not cause her any difficulty eating.
