Five years ago, Liv got her second chance.

Originally rescued from a puppy mill, Liv came to us looking for a fresh start. It didn't take long for someone to fall in love with her, and she was quickly adopted into what we hoped would be her forever home.

For five wonderful years, Liv was loved and cherished. Sadly, her adopter recently passed away unexpectedly, and his extended family was unable to keep her, so Liv has found herself back in our care, searching for a new family once again.

Now almost 10 years old, Liv is still the same happy girl we remember. She's a sweet, social, chunky monkey who brings smiles wherever she goes. Despite having her world turned upside down, she has adjusted remarkably well and continues to greet life with a positive attitude. In her prior home she lived with another large dog and did great.

That said, Liv belongs in a home, not a kennel. She spent years enjoying the comforts of family life, and it's clear she misses having a person to call her own. This senior girl deserves a soft bed, plenty of treats, leisurely walks, and someone who will shower her with the love and attention she's used to.

We are heartbroken for both Liv and the adopter who clearly adored her, but we know there is another wonderful family out there for her. Someone who understands that senior dogs still have so much life, love, and companionship to offer.
