BigBubba - Newfoundland Dog Dog for Adoption in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania

Big Bubba is a stunning Newfoundland who weighs in at approximately 110 pounds and is around 5 years old. Found as a stray and never reclaimed, this handsome giant was transferred to our rescue in hopes of finding the forever home he deserves.

Since arriving, Bubba has been turning heads everywhere he goes. His gorgeous dark charcoal-black coat, massive size, and soulful expression make quite the impression. While he came to us heavily matted, our amazing groomer has been working hard to restore his coat to its full glory. Through it all, Bubba has been a very good boy, patiently tolerating baths and grooming sessions.

Bubba has also been impressing our volunteers on walks. Despite his size, he does well on leash and enjoys getting out to explore. He has met other large dogs at the original shelter and has done very well during introductions. At this time, we have not yet tested him with small dogs.

Like many dogs, Bubba has a quirk - he happily allows his leash to be put on and is eager to head out for an adventure, but he can be sensitive/nervous when it's time for the leash to come off. Because of this, we are seeking an experienced giant-breed owner who understands dog body language and is comfortable working through minor handling sensitivities.

Big Bubba is looking for an adult-only home where he can continue to build trust and enjoy all the comforts a giant dog deserves. With the right person, we think this magnificent boy will make a wonderful companion.
